Assistant delivery Driver / Warehouse operative


ABOUT THE JOB:
As an Assistant Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of Furniture and Electrical deliveries along with maintaining the warehouse and operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the delivery of goods to customers and performing various warehouse-related tasks to maintain inventory accuracy and organisation.

Delivery Assistance: 
  • Assist the primary delivery driver in loading and unloading goods onto the delivery vehicle.
  • Help ensure that deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders and delivery addresses before departure.
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles in compliance with traffic rules and company policies.
  • Assist in the navigation to delivery locations, using GPS or provided directions.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being polite, professional, and helpful during deliveries.

Warehouse Duties:
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of products and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, including shelving and storage areas.
  • Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Prepare orders for delivery, ensuring that the correct items are picked and packed.
  • Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and transport goods within the warehouse.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols
  • Comply with traffic laws and regulations while operating delivery vehicles.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for the safe handling of goods and materials.
