Assistant delivery Driver / Warehouse operative

As an Assistant Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of Furniture and Electrical deliveries along with maintaining the warehouse and operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the delivery of goods to customers and performing various warehouse-related tasks to maintain inventory accuracy and organisation.

Delivery Assistance: 
  • Assist the primary delivery driver in loading and unloading goods onto the delivery vehicle.
  • Help ensure that deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders and delivery addresses before departure.
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles in compliance with traffic rules and company policies.
  • Assist in the navigation to delivery locations, using GPS or provided directions.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being polite, professional, and helpful during deliveries.

Warehouse Duties:
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of products and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, including shelving and storage areas.
  • Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Prepare orders for delivery, ensuring that the correct items are picked and packed.
  • Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and transport goods within the warehouse.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols
  • Comply with traffic laws and regulations while operating delivery vehicles.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for the safe handling of goods and materials.

Bathroom Showroom Associate

Tadhg O’Connor Ltd are now seeking to hire an experienced, career focused, ambitious and determined person to join our sales team. We currently have an opening for a Bathroom Showroom executive based in our Rathkeale Hardware store. Experience of the industry would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.

  • Delivering best in class service to our customers including expert advice on our products and services
  • Assisting customers in choosing and designing their dream bathroom
  • Selling to both retail and trade customers
  • Produce appropriate customer quotations
  • Ensure all quotations are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Dealing with all customer queries including telephone queries, in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of store presentation and cleanliness
  • Managing point of sale processes, including cash, card & credit transactions.
  • Adhering to policies and procedures for the security of cash and merchandise.
  • Product coding, pricing, and updating of prices on goods for re-sales.
  • Adherence to all Society policies & procedures, Health & Safety procedures, and reporting of any hazards to the Branch Management.
  • Carrying out any additional duties as required to meet business requirements

Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
  • You will have held a similar position in a retail environment (preferably bathroom sales). Experience and product knowledge within the bathroom industry will be an important factor.
  • Hardworking, Conscientious and Self Motivated: Ability to focus efforts and energy on successfully achieving standards of excellence in delivery of goals and objectives.

Compensation Package:
A very attractive remuneration package – including a contributory pension scheme, Store Discounts, Quarterly Bonus Package that is accelerated if pre-agreed targets are exceeded.
